What’s behind the expansion drive of Canada’s and North America’s fossil fuel industries?
Coal extraction, natural gas fracking and shale oil fracking are all on the rise in Canada. The tar sands industry in Alberta wants to expand its operations threefold in the coming years. But climate science is telling us that this is a reckless and suicidal course. Why can’t the capitalist system listen to climate science and end its addiction to fossil fuel profits? What is the ecosocialist alternative?
