Toronto — 10 September 2011.

The idea is simple: Torontonians meet in the park and lay out a People’s Declaration – a clear set of demands to deliver to City Hall. Then we all show up at City Hall on September 26 and 27 to make sure that are these demands are met when council votes on the future of our city.

People across Toronto are mobilizing to save our city from Ford’s cuts. We’ve been part of marathon deputations, thousands of us have signed petitions, filled out surveys, written letters, held meetings and called our councilors. Yet the Brothers Ford continue their attacks. On September 26 and 27, city council will be voting on cutting services, hiking user fees and laying off workers. We need public pressure – creative actions and mass mobilizations – to stop these cuts. Now is the time for people across the city to come together to plan our fight back for this fall and beyond!

Together we can win the fight against Ford’s cuts and take back our city.

Organized by Toronto Stop The Cuts network. Read and Sign! The Toronto Declaration.

Music by One Hundred Dollars.
