Toronto — 22 December 2013.

A discussion with Taodhg (AKA Tim) Burns and Marc Young about the politics of Anarcho-Syndicalism, its history, and modern application.

  • Taodhg (AKA Tim) Burns is an original member of worker co-op Libra Information Services, now unionized with the Industrial Workers of the World. With his Libra fellow workers he co-founded and operates, TorontotheBetter, Toronto’s original multi-sector social enterprise directory. Favourite quotation: “Those who do not move are never aware of their chains” (popularly attributed to Rosa Luxemburg).
  • Marc B. Young, a resident of Madrid from 1994-2004 (and of Toronto since then), is a former member of the Spanish General Confederation of Labour. Presently active in the Industrial Workers of the World, Young has written on African affairs, the political economy of health care and Christianity and the libertarian left. He is the author of two selections of poetry and is currently completing a third while researching an ‘appreciation’ of Mikhail Bakunin.
