Public Transit Committee

The Public Transit Committee is made up of supporters of the Free Transit Toronto campaign, which developed out of the Greater Toronto Workers’ Assembly campaign for free transit. Some are members of the Socialist Project, others not.

The Committee supports the world-wide movement for fare-free transit, and advances a Red-Green perspective on building, funding, expanding, planning and running public transit in Canada and around the world.

In solidarity with TTCriders and the Fair Fare Coalition in Toronto, and others across Europe and North America, we educate about, organize around and fight for public transit. The committee recently launched ActionKeele, a campaign to organize riders of the Keele 41 route to improve service on this line.
